kruisekat824 0 #1 March 25, 2009 Hi, I finally decided to introduce myself. My name is Kris and I'm 23 years old. I finished my AFF in Ogden, Utah in July with a nice little crash to finish off my graduation jump. You can kinda see it at the end of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3QpvvuNMiM Was glad to walk away after popping my shoulder back in place. Anyway, I have 35 jumps now and have been jumping at LSPC in Nebraska since September... I love the people there and have learned a lot from them. I just jumped my new/used gear this past weekend: Infinity container, Paraflite 165 main and Tempo 150 reserve. I get out of the military in May and will be in Tampa by October to start culinary school. Any advice or suggestions for Florida or just a new skydiver? flyfast1966 0 #2 March 25, 2009 WOO HOO !! keep it going . I wish I could recommend a DZ. Just ask yourself what are your needs and wants in a DZ. Go there and watch. Go to more than one DZ. Talk to the people there , get to feel of the place . I have been to 2 DZ's and didn't jump. It is always your choice when and where you jump. Glad your " crash" wasn't too bad
popsjumper 2 #3 March 25, 2009 Congrats on joining us in the sky! When you get to Tampa...two things: 1) Jump at Z-hills 2) Do try to avoid Ybor City...the next-day hangover will interfere with your jumping. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. Falcon5232, SCS8170, SCSA353, POPS9398, DS239

kruisekat824 0 #10 March 29, 2009 Thanks for the welcome and advice so far. I'm really excited to move to Florida. Not having to jump in 20 degree weather will be a nice change. Unfortunately I'll be in Northern California, my hometown is Eureka, CA, from May to September so I won't be near a DZ for a while . Though I think I've convinced my mom and sister to take a few trips to the nearest DZ with me. My first jump was with my mom and sister in Interlaken, Switzerland. My mom had already done a static line jump and my sister has since done another tandem. I planned on bringing in some of my attempts at culinary greatness to the DZ... I'll be sure to bring in stuff that won't help stink up the plane.... I'm looking forward to getting to know more jumpers and learning a lot.
