blade12gpa 0 #1 July 10, 2009 Well ive been cruising the forums for a while and thought i would say Hey. Name is Chris. Did 17 jumps about 10 years ago and as of late have been dying ( maybe not the best choice of words but hey) to get back in the air. I did my original AFF down in Yuma with Jay Stokes and the guys from the MFF school from the proving ground. Man they were alot of fun. Got pretty close to my A and just ran out of money. i Joined the Air Force, met a girl, got married, had two beautiful little girls, moved jobs a couples times and here it is ten years later. Called Eloy and it looks like im going to have to start all over :(. Dont mind starting from the begging as its been a while, just bummed i have to spend the extra cash. Well guess thats about it for now... So Hey All

skybill 22 #4 July 10, 2009 Hi Chris, Although it's been 10 years since your last jump, I'd bet that your "re-training" will be short and easy!! Just relax and go with the flow. Check out the "red sky" after you land, 'nothing like blowing the rust off and the "Cold Beer" afterward!!SCR-2034, SCS-680 III%, Deli-out
skymama 37 #5 July 10, 2009 Welcome to the fourms! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
Lenzo 0 #6 July 13, 2009 Chris Welcome back....I did the same thing took about 12 years off after recieving my A license.although i did not join the airforce but the same circumstances married, kids, house etc.It took me A few jumps but it comes back pretty easy.Everyone thought I had smoke on my first jump but it was the rust coming off.lol Smile, pull, land
blade12gpa 0 #7 July 13, 2009 Awesome. With you having your "A" what did they have you do? Im really hoping it comes back quick. it looks like i will probably be jumping at Eloy, so hopefully all the stupid will wash off in the tunnel before i get in the plane. I was watching videos on you tube last night and i could almost see my jumps from 10 years ago. Stuff i did wrong stuff i did right.. And most important all the fun. Lenzo 0 #8 July 14, 2009 They had me take the aff ground school second part where i was hung in the harness went over emergency procedures.Took a writen test on what i had learned.Did a jump with an instructer that weekend and was signed off good to go that afternoon.I hired A coach for A dozen jumps after that just so I could go over docking, turning, tracking and A few other things.Wanted to make sure I was not a danger to anyone in the air when I started to do relative work again.Let me know how you make out with your training.I am glad to hear someone else is getting back in after a long break Smile, pull, land
