midlifecrisis 0 #1 August 24, 2009 Hello all!!! About 5 years ago I did my first tandem and was instantly hooked! I started lessons and in a couple of months got my "A" license. I jumped several times and was having the time of my life. Then for work, money and personal reasons I had to take a couple of years off. I missed our sport dearly. Recently Ive been able to get back on track and now Im jumping several times a week! WOO HOO!!! A few days ago I finally passed everything for my "B" license and now Im focused on my "C" because enough is never enough... Right? So far Ive meet lots of great people and hope to meet more on here. Hope to see some of you soon out at the drop zone! Blue Skys!!!
JustChuteMeNow 0 #2 August 25, 2009 Welcome to the forums and welcome back to the sky. Congrats on getting your "B". If you are free Labor Day weekend come to Couchfreaks and maybe we can do some jumps together.Think of how stupid the average person is and realize that statistically half of them are stupider than that. skymama 37 #4 August 25, 2009 Welcome to the forums! BTW, you're going to have to change your avatar to a non-animated one. Having it is against the forum rules. DiverMike 5 #5 August 25, 2009 I checked the Rules thread and couldn't find any information disallowing animated .gif files. Where is the rule? Being the polite midwesterner that I am, I want to make sure I am following all the rules. Quote ...change your avatar to a non-animated one. wolfriverjoe 1,523 #7 August 25, 2009 QuoteIt's in the Announcements Forum. Not to hijack, but where? It isn't in the "Rules" thread, and I didn't see it in the first couple pages. There was a post about review rules (no former employees, not about money, ect) last week, and I couldn't find that anywhere either. Are these rules "add-ons" in individual threads, or is there a "secret" rules page somewhere?"There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." wolfriverjoe 1,523 #10 August 25, 2009 Quote Sigh...is the search button broken? Read this and this. Ok, that's what I meant. It is "hidden" in a thread on page 5. It isn't anywhere (like in the "Rules" sticky) that I would be able to find unless I was specifically looking for it. Thank you, I'll now go to Suggestions and Feedback before I get spanked for hijacking."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." midlifecrisis 0 #16 September 6, 2009 Well... tonight I made my first night jump and it was AMAZING!!!!!! I only got to do one but Ill be back out to do more later. Even with all the people telling me I would be able to see I was worried right up till the door opened and I could see suprizingly well. In freefall I was really amazed at how beautiful the city lights were and once I was under canopy (deployed at 5000 ft) I kinda just hung there and enjoyed every last minute of the scenery. Gawd I want to do it again!!!

Gawd I want to do it again!!! Yes, it is amazing. I did both my required night jumps Friday night at West Plains skydiving in Ritzville. I was pretty nervous myself about trying to find a not real familiar dropzone from 12,000 feet. I could find it! Glad you had fun too."safety first... and What the hell..... safety second, Too!!!
