sealedinlies 0 #1 May 28, 2004 I have 120 jumps and they were all in the last 2 months...I just bought an infinity container and now im trying to figure out what canopy i want to get...Right now it is between the Safire2 and a Pilot....I'm leaning toward the Safire2...What are some of your opinions on what I should do... Also...right now I'm jumping a 149 but I was wondering if I should wait till I go to a 139 to buy a canopy or should I just get a 149 and sell it when I downsize.... what do you think? For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return. -Leonardo da Vinci
diablopilot 2 #2 May 28, 2004 If you're comfortable on the 149, by it. Don't worry about the eventual buying of another canopy. Believe me if you're in the sport a while you'll buy alot of canopies in the next few years. I prefer the Pilot. Cost and performance wise I like the canopy better, but buy what you like, which one do you fly better?---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. sealedinlies 0 #3 May 28, 2004 well i like the landings and the openings of the Safire2... the safire2 seems to be a little more agressive and "fun"For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return. -Leonardo da Vinci
diablopilot 2 #4 May 28, 2004 Sounds like you have an answer. From a customer service standpoint I can't complain about Aerodyne at all. They are top Notch. In the end if you fly the Safire better and are getting consistantly better results from it, well that's what you ought to buy.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. GeeeeeeFly 0 #5 May 28, 2004 If you come down to San Diego or contact Wyatt down there I am sure you will have the chance to demo that canopy. I know they have two on hand at the DZ. Not to mention you will get the experience of the new DZ. ~G~ "The edge ... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who know where it is are those that have gone over"
sealedinlies 0 #6 May 28, 2004 Yeah... I've been really lucky jumping at perris.....all the people there are cool and I have been doing a demo program there where i can pretty much try any canopy on the marketFor once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return. -Leonardo da Vinci
diablopilot 2 #7 May 28, 2004 Yeah. (Psssst, Wyat suports us too....) Justin, you ought to check out San Diego sometime. It's a really pretty place. Maybe when we head down there for a wingsuit weekend.......---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. fundgh 0 #8 May 28, 2004 There doesn't seem to be too many Pilots on the used market...It is hard for younger jumpers to justify spending 1500 bucks on a canopy, not knowing what they like, what they want to get into, etc. I think that is why the Sabre is so popular, there are tons of used ones to buy....FUN FOR ALL! diablopilot 2 #9 May 28, 2004 Probably because the design has been out for only about 2 years tops.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
