bkeul 0 #1 March 25, 2010 Hi there I'm new to skydiving and currently in my AFF program. I have completed 8 jumps so far and go every chance I can get out there. (Providing my bank account agrees with me). I decided to go on my first jump after my 35th birthday, and I'm sad i didn't try this before. I love it! I can't imagine a better feeling than touching the sky up close. I'm hoping I will have many years of this sport to come. The people I have met so far have been wonderful. I'm looking forward to being able to travel to drop zones and seeing the world from 13,000 feet.

bkeul 0 #4 March 25, 2010 Thank you. Im looking forward to all the adventures that will come my way. I'd love to go to some of the boogies and only time will tell. How do I find out about when they are?
andyvaughn 0 #5 March 25, 2010 Hi! I'm too in the student phase of my development, and 2 jumps behind you, I'm doing my 7th, but my 3rd AFP, Sunday. I am 40, and like you, wish I had started YEARS back. It's such an amazing, zen like experience, isn't it? Looks like we have some career similarities too, I am a RN, but worked for a vet thru much of my college. The problem with pets, they can't tell you what's wrong
bkeul 0 #6 March 25, 2010 It does sound like we have a lot in common. I love this sport and I get so excited every time I get to go jump. When i was a kid and on a plane I used to want to reach out and touch the clouds, now I get to do just that, it's wonderful. I do enjoy working in veterinary field. i work as a surgical nurse in specialty practice although i have decided to go back to school to work as radiology tech for people. New starts all around I guess. It's funny I always say vets and pediatricians are the best doctors because they can't ask their patient "What's wrong?" So I laughed when I saw your statement. Good luck this weekend.

How do I find out about when they are? jumping events and boogies occur all months of the year and in many varied and some exotic locations...If you join USPA and start to get Parachutist Magazine in the mail, there is an events category which is printed each month. Blue Skies magazine can also keep you in touch, and of course, right here in the DZ dot com website.... many events are discussed,,, before during and after they occur.. Lots of them are annual events, and so if you miss one year,,, you can always target for attending the next... OF course your experience level will have to factor in,,, but once licensed and with appropriate guidance you certainly will be welcomed.... The party is just starting.....Be safe and Enjoy yourself... jmy A 3914 D 12122
