BoonDoc91B 0 #1 June 20, 2010 My name's John and I just made my 2nd tandem out of Freefall Adventures in Cross Keys, NJ! I'm planning on making the whole progression and just need to fit the school into my busy work schedule. I'm a paramedic and EMS Educator by trade and need an adventurous activity like skydiving to keep the juices flowin'! Life's only getting shorter which means it's time to get workin' on the old bucket list! So a hearty hello to all...clear skies and safe landings... -John-

100LL 0 #5 June 20, 2010 congrats on the jump. why the 2nd tandem if i may ask? is that a different way of getting into the sport than the AFF program?
Sapphire 0 #6 June 21, 2010 I think they do a tandem progression - 2 or 3 tandems working on the same skills before you move on to 1 AFF instructor. skycamefalling 0 #7 June 21, 2010 My first 2 jumps of my AFF training consisted of what was called wotking tandems. I had to maintain body position, keep altitude awareness, do controlled turns, pull at the proper altitude, fly the canopy and set us up into the landing pattern. The only thing I did not do was pitch the drouge and the final flare to land.Speedracer~I predict that Michael Jackson will rise from the dead. BoonDoc91B 0 #8 June 21, 2010 Thanks to all for the warm reception. To answer your questions regarding my training progression...at Freefall Adventures they require you to perform three tandems and ground school prior to moving on to AFF. Actually, ground school comes right before the 3rd tandem and as somebody noted...you are required to perform certain skills on your tandem regarding freefall and canopy control.... -John-
