Greetings from South Africa!

Hello Forum!

I'm a new member on the forum from Cape Town, South Africa.

Well, my story is kind of unique... After working on my lifelong dream for 18 years, I was submitted into the South African Air Force as a Pupil Pilot as 1 of 33 from a pool of 12,000 applicants. During Basic Military Training I had a medical accident and permanently lost 60% hearing in my right ear... (Happened on 7 October 2012)

Now I'm still trying to get myself together, look up, and stay positive... Even if I can't be a military pilot anymore, I WILL still fly... That's where the thought of Skydiving came in.

Since my resignation in the Air Force on the 7th of January 2013, I have been working on my other passion which is video editing... (You can see my Youtube Channel at: www.youtube.com/user/xlive2fly)

Sooo, now this 19 year old from SA is hoping that this will become a major part in my life like aviation was for the last 18 years!

I'm still saving up a bit as I'm doing Freelance video editing atm and that is my only source of income. But as soon as I have enough, I'll sign up for my AFF course!

Looking forward to being part of this community.

Regards,
Live2Fly

Always nice to see another South African on the forums
Best of luck saving up for the AFF course.
I saved up and went the AFF route but you could do static line if you can spare a grand or so a month for jumping, a few people at my DZ are doing that. ~R330 for static line jumps

Hopefully see you in the sky one day.
