mickeyb117 0 #1 January 1, 2014 I have made 2 tandem jumps over the summer and fell totally in love with the sport. Due to money issues I wasnt able to get back out there but plan on hitting the dz every weekend starting in april. My first jumps were at the ranch up in gardiner and while I had a great time not sure how they go about there training. Has anyone done aff there ? Also any other good student options near nyc ? P.S. The Ranch does a very good job at taking care of their students, plus there will be plenty of similarly experienced jumpers to play with once your off student status. neflier 0 #4 January 1, 2014 Even though I live on Long Island, I did my A in 2012 at The Ranch and consider it my home DZ. They have found a good balance between tandems, students and fun jumpers. After my A, I had no problem finding others to jump with. There's typically a bunch of guys who travel from NYC to The Ranch.Life is too short to drink cheap beer.
