DrDom 0 #7 January 31, 2014 septemThank you for your help I'm going tomorrow to visit "skydive city" And also the deland center next week You could always learn to pack and work as a packer but I'm not sure how much you get paid for it. Otherwise, save those pennies and make that dream a reality! You are not the contents of your wallet.
jumpgump 0 #8 February 1, 2014 You might want to consider Skydive Spaceland - Clewiston. They have the "A license in a week program." http://www.florida.skydivespaceland.com/learn-to-skydive/a-license-in-a-week Skydiving training is very cheap over on that side of the country. septem 0 #9 March 11, 2014 Thank you all I'm decided to start my AFF the next few weeks level by level, slowly (budget) but surely :D 2 more questions : - how much will cost the remaining jumps after the seven first jumps ? Are they supervised ? - when do you think i can wear my gopro on me (can i do it from the first jump ?!) Have a good day
ianyapxw 0 #10 March 11, 2014 you should call your DZ and ask 200 jumps for a GoPro. There's various reasons from snag hazard to distraction (focusing on the shot and not the skydive) to loss of altitude awareness.
potatoman 0 #11 March 12, 2014 Have you got free time, like weekends? Spend as much time possible at the DZ. You will soon find out how to make money, either by recruiting new jumpers, packing, or whatever. You will also learn a load from just being there, and please, don't sit with your hands folded, talk to people. I started jumping purely on packing, when I was still in school. HOW, I was at the DZ every weekend, untill someone said, you wanna learn how to pack, I'll teach ya. You have the right to your opinion, and I have the right to tell you how Fu***** stupid it is. ianyapxw 0 #12 March 12, 2014 I never knew you could get tickets for recruiting new jumpers It still exist?
potatoman 0 #13 March 12, 2014 Not really tickets, but you can get incentives for bringing in new business. Seen this at plenty places, and still goes. You have the right to your opinion, and I have the right to tell you how Fu***** stupid it is. rouey 0 #14 March 12, 2014 At my DZ you get 1 slot for bringing a tandem and 2 slots for an AFF student. If they don't have a policy in place... Haggle!
