New to skydiving, hello.

Recommended Posts

I'm 27 and got my AFF in Lodi 1.5 years ago but have only used it as a really fun thing to do when I need the natural high. I gamble for a living and do as much as possible to not let the financial swings affect my emotional state and overall psyche. Watercolor painting and skydiving are my outlets and give me a sense of creative freedom. I would like to eventually be a skydive photographer and wing suit BASE, I just need to put in the hours.

I have saved up $1500 so far this year and am looking to buy a 170ft^2 rig, no idea what they range for. I haven't been apart of a forum in eight years so feel free to help me out in any way possible early on.

Thanks,
Darrel Dier

Blackjack? I'd be fucked if that were my job. lol

Welcome to the forum. I'd say you want to save up another grand or so to get a good rig with an AAD in it. Then you get out there a lot more and not have to worry about renting equipment.

Check out the classified section for gear and you'll get a better idea of the pricing.

Have fun.

I don't know where you got the idea of blackjack but lots of casinos use card shuffling machines, making it impossible to count.
:)

I've never played Blackjack in a Casino that uses a machine to shuffle the cards, nor would I.

Plus I was joking anyway. I got rocked in Las Vegas last time I played.[:/]

Why wouldn't you play blackjack in a place with auto-card shuffling? It's still the same chance (of losing) if I'm not wrong :P

Professional gamblers usually play poker, I don't think there's any other game you can win without cheating or extreme discipline.

I always assume that there are small gnomes living inside of those machines that give me bad cards and give the dealer good cards

Does that make me crazy?:P

***Welcome to the forums! :)

Yes, AAD is important to me. I'd like to minimize the risk as much as possible.

Ha! A professional gambler that wants to minimize his risk! Classic! You're gonna fit in nicely around here ;)
