Hollywood5581 0 #1 April 30, 2014 Hello, Drop Zone Forum! I graduated AFF a few weeks ago and up to a whopping 17 jumps now in pursuit of my A License. Just need that dreaded hop and pop and a packing class lol. It has been a lot of fun so far, I'm definitely addicted I go on one of my days off every week. I've met some great people, the skydiving community is one of a kind, and I feel right at home at my home DZ! I hope all of you are having a great week so far, and look forward to exchanging some posts or jumping with you all sometime soon. Blue Skies to all!!!!! JBR 0 #2 April 30, 2014 Hi, if you fancy jumping with a fellow noob from the UK I'll be at Perris from the 23rd of may for a week getting my numbers up! oh, welcome and well done too!!
Hollywood5581 0 #3 April 30, 2014 Thanks JBR, I'm about 6 hrs away from from perris, thanks for the invite. My work schedule restricts me to being a weekend warrior, (mondays and tuesdays are my weekends lol) which keeps me jumping at Lodi, CA is my home DZ. keep in touch and we can link up some day. I'm always down to jump with new people so I can learn as much as possible. Let me know how Perris is, I hear it's a great DZ. Have fun, and blue skies!! skymama 37 #4 May 1, 2014 Welcome to the forums! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
Hollywood5581 0 #5 May 1, 2014 skymama Welcome to the forums! Just the 3000 ft mark is a little intimidating. However my coach is going to run me thru and go with me for some moral support. I know I'll do just fine. I've had some great instructors and coaches so far.
Moonlight_Drive 0 #6 May 1, 2014 I got my AFF in Lodi too. I just came up on some money and will be heading there every week after I find a rig. I'm almost done with my class A, just a few more things at the end that haven't been signed off yet. I'll be in Turlock Poker Room all weekend if you want to meet up, the tour I work for is hosting a tournament.

Seriously, don't sweat the hop and pop, just chill out, leave the door well, look up and find the plane before you pull. it's easy and you'll wonder why you were bothered by it. It will certainly feel a little different to you and it might seem like your canopy isn't going to open, (giving you that OMG moment!), but I bet you'll be fine! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
Hollywood5581 0 #9 May 20, 2014 Thought I would give you all an update. 21 free falls, and I'll be doing my hop and pop tomorrow. Got that confidence level up and exits are clean and smooth. (stability improved with some more tunnel time) Got my rig already, and signed up for a canopy course for June 17th. Thanks for the words, jbr and sky mama. blue skies!
