Amesmn 0 #1 May 14, 2014 Hello everyone! My name is Amy and I had my FJC yesterday but was unable to start my AFP jumps due to high winds and clouds. I rescheduled my first jump for Saturday morning and can’t wait! After my first tandem I knew I needed more and after my second at 18,000ft there was no going back. I’m excited to become part of this amazing community!
skymama 37 #2 May 14, 2014 Welcome to the forums! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
Amesmn 0 #3 May 14, 2014 Thank you. I wish I was in FL! Winter hasn't quite ended yet here in MN.
skymama 37 #4 May 14, 2014 Well, now I see that you wrote it plainly in the subject line. I must have scrolled too far and didn't see that. I swear I'm not that much of an idiot! Trafficdiver 8 #7 May 15, 2014 Weather has been schizophrenic here this spring. In skydiving you need to be flexible so when there are blue skies and easy breezes you're not held down by such outdated concepts as non skydiving friends or family. Amesmn 0 #8 May 15, 2014 I've already told my non skydiving friends if they want to see me before November they will need to come to the DZ!
SecondRound 1 #9 May 16, 2014 Welcome to the sport. I am starting my second season jumping in MN and I am still amazed at the number of DZs in the area even with the long winters. Hope your runway dries out soon and you can get into your AFP progression. Blue Skies
