alan 1 #2 July 25, 2004 Have your rigger contact the manufacturer for the specs and he or she can do the job for $10 or $15. May be a little more as many riggers prefer to replace both lines of a pair because of shrinkage issues.alan
riggerrob 643 #3 July 25, 2004 A Master Rigger can replace one line at a time, he just copies its partner on the opposite side of the canopy. In other words, if you break a left #3 D line, the replacement should end up the same length as the right #3 D line. Manufacturers do allow small margins of error, but those tolerances get smaller as canopies get smaller. Four example, a 4 inch difference - between left and right - will probably go unnoticed by a tandem master, but will be "way too exciting" for a pond swooper. Naturally the replacement line should be so close a copy of the original (line type, strength, stitch pattern, etc.) that a casual observer cannot tell the difference.
