Element container?

Recommended Posts

Hi

I am going to buy a new container.
I´ve tried the Aerodyne Icon and liked it. But im not sure that it will be my choise.

I´ve seen a container from the Russian company ParaAvis. Its called Element and is pretty much exactly the same container as the Icon.
Anyone know anything about Element?

I know I see a few things wrong on the Icon, because a lot of the very new ones came to our DZ when the rig was 1st released.

Is your only purpose on these forums to slate the Icon and push the Vortex 2?

All rigs have their problems. It's how the company responds to those problems that defines their customer service. My experiences with Chute Shop (I have yet to deal with "Parachute Systems") as a customer have been simply dreadful. I know of Icons from our DZ which have been returned to the factory after being built "bent" and are being replaced. That's service, but you won't get it if you don't ask for it.

Element rocks! Element comes first, about 2 years ago. So, actually, it is Icon looking like Element. Fully equipped Element (4 rings, all stainless hardware, deluxe backpad etc.) costs about $1100 (only $800 without rings and stainless).
I have 200 jumps with my Element and it still looks like new. I can make some pictures this weekend if you like.
We have more than 50 Element H/Cs at Aerograd. It definitely worth the money it costs.
Feel free to ask questions!

Hi

Well i´ve seen one Element container but haven´t jumped it. Tried it on thou and it was really comfy. Probably wont need those chestrings.

Has there been any problems with the Element containers at your DZ? Problems with fit, riser cover coming open, hardware och fabric problems or anything else?

Everyone at my DZ uses Odessey or Micron containers. But i cant see the point in paying $700 extra if there are no problems with the Element.

Just don't put chest ring in order form. Without chest rings and stainless hardware I believe Element will cost ~$1000.

I heard of one problem found during manufacturer tests (reserve container did not open after Cypres fire - noone get hurt, just a metal anvil hit the ground and made a lot of dust popped). But that has been corrected prior to going on market.
Never heard about any problems with fit, riser covers or something else. Maria Riabikova (world champion in skysurfing) made more than 1000 jumps with Element container and it still performs good! (though looks a bit dirty :P)
