Performance Variable CAYENNE info!???

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have any info on this canopy? I've read all the threads in this forum on their Demon, which sounds like a pretty good canopy, but the Demon is too hot for me. I've checked their website but it doesn't really say too much about the Cayenne. The price on these canopies is rather attractive. Thanks! ~AirMan~

My DZ has a Cayenne 210 that we use as transition gear for newbies - very popular canopy. I've put a couple jumps on it to check it out. Openings were both subterminal, so I can't tell you much about that, but it flew and landed quite nicely. Toggle pressure is a little high, but not unbearable. Front riser inuut is mushy and doesn't result in much turn or dive. It has HUGE glide, but maybe thats because it was loaded about 1:1 instead of my normal 2:1.

The canopy is made with the Gelvenor fabric, so packing is easy. Construction quality seems good.

That's about all I can tell ya - hope it helps.

That subject came up some time ago in the german forum...
You might want to PM Shorty from PV (DZ.com Username: PVinfo) for more info.
Look at the manual of it here (german only...).
You can check out the color schemes (no custom colors on this one) at myskyshop.com.
HTH!;)

Edit: According to the above site and the feedback that came in the german forum, it's an intermediate canopy.
The mind is like a parachute - it only works once it's open.
From the edge you just see more.

I don't mean any offense and I am in no way putting down the products of performance variable since I know nothing about their products, but could you think of a worse name for a gear manufacturer.

Wouldn't "performance consistent" be much better. I mean the last thing I want in my gear is variable performance.
