gowlerk 2,198 #1 September 19, 2017 I did not realize that the new NHL franchise in Vegas is called the Golden Knights. This is just wrong. Completely wrong. Both the name, and the fact that a team is going to be located there.Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free. JerryBaumchen 1,364 #2 September 19, 2017 Hi Ken, QuoteCompletely wrong. The US Army Parachute Team may be 'called' the Golden Knights, but their name is the US Army Parachute Team. Jerry Baumchen

Sharks are NHL in San Jose, Gamblers are USHL in Green Bay. I don't know quite how it works, but I don't think they would want to duplicate a minor league name. NFL is moving the Raiders from Oakland to Las Vegas, why not the NHL? And Golden Knights is just a nickname. Open to anyone who wants to take it. The funny part would be if the NHL franchise sent a "Cease & Desist" letter to the Army."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." Apparently they are looking into the legal aspects. http://www.thehockeynews.com/news/article/vegas-golden-knights-name-being-reviewed-by-the-u-s-army This story is from late last year. I guess they decided it would be allowed. Pity.Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
