From the worthless, but none the less interesting file.

My paternal grandparents were both born before 1900, and I'm 49 now, but the Tyler family just takes it to the extreme. :o:D

Matter of fact, I was 39 and 42 when my two girls were born. We just have larger generational gaps in my family than most.

On my dad's side, my great-grandfather was born in 1848 (d:1930) but my grandfather was born in 1918!

He must have a randy old geezer! ;) Oh yes! His wife was 20 when my grandfather was born.

My dad was 1939. Me 1963 and my twins in 2004.

Only five generations in 156 years.

My paternal great grandparents on his mother's side were also born in the 1849's. My grandmother was born in the 80's, the last of 12. My father was born when your grandfather was :)My son regularly reminds me of all these long generations whenever the topic of grandchildren comes up. Either that, or he offers to go knock someone up :o:D

Sure is! I'd have to look up my family tree to see when my great grandparents were born, but it's probably close to that, or within 10 years. In fact, my direct lineage has been verified all the way back to 1384 to the Vans of Barnbarroch in Scotland. The land and mansion ruins are still owned by descendants of the family that stayed.
