BillyVance 34 #1 October 25, 2016 Was looking through the slides on this article and #13 popped out at me. I vaguely remember this. A bandit jump into the Mets game. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/today-in-history-october-25/ss-AAjjCse?li=BBnb7Kz#image=13"Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
Niki1 1 #2 October 25, 2016 And because of that outlaw jump there were NO parachute demos at MLB games for a very long time. (20, 25 years?) I don't follow baseball anymore but I remember watching that game with Joe Morgan. He said right then that this stunt would be bad for skydiver demos. But we both thought it was pretty cool. Most of the things worth doing in the world had been declared impossilbe before they were done. councilman24 37 #5 October 26, 2016 Maybe more Cirrus Cloud size. I still have mine. I'm old for my age. Terry Urban D-8631 FAA DPRE
tkhayes 348 #6 October 27, 2016 Does look like a DC-5, that was my first square jump - a bad parachute on a good day. Above post said a Cirrus Cloud - was that a 5-cell as well? I am not familiar with it. The DC5 had cells big enough to almost walk into.
JerryBaumchen 1,365 #7 October 27, 2016 Hi tk, QuoteAbove post said a Cirrus Cloud - was that a 5-cell as well? A little trivia. The DC-5 was marketed as an accuracy canopy. Ted Mayfield got one for demo's and decided it landed too hard. He contacted ParaFlite and asked if they would build a DC-5 with two extra cells on it. They did & he bought it. I do not know if it was ever marketed by them or not. Jerry Baumchen
