Wanksy, the pothole graffiti artist

Most of us have heard of Bansky, the urban artist.

Well, now there's Wanksy. He's in Manchester, and he paints phalluses around potholes.

And it works. They get filled.

My favorite quote is from a local councilman:

Every penny that we have to spend cleaning off this graffiti is a penny less that we have to spend on actually repairing the potholes.

Yet they don't seem to clean the paint up at all, in the pics, the holes are filled, and the paint is partially covered with the patch, but it isn't cleaned off or removed.

Squaw Pass Road extends from Bergen Park to Echo Lake.
It used to be 18 miles of hairpin turns and potholes, *but* some wonder person(s) sprayed an orange perimeter on *every* pothole, so even at 45mph on a bicycle/motorcycle, you could easily see them in time to go around them.

Several years ago they finally resurfaced the road, and now it is one of my favorite roads.
