Closest DZ to San Jose?

So...I'll be in San Jose from Dec28 to Jan3rd, and looking to get a skydive in...well, looking to first get recurrent, THEN an actual skydive or two.

What's the closest DZ to San Jose?

Well then, that is a much clearer question compared to what is "closest"

What are you looking for as that might be a help to point you in a direction. For example If you are looking for inexpensive jumps then Lodi would be your choice.

Personally for those two things I'd choose either Skydive California in Tracy (closer to San Jose) or Skydance in Davis (farther).

Monterey Bay doesn't want you.

You're not experienced enough for Lodi.

I always enjoyed Bay Area Skydiving and Skydance.

Wherever you go, call first.

Skydive California (Tracy) is closed for the holidays until Jan 2nd. Bay Area Skydiving in Byron is the closest to San Jose, but will only be open on the weekends. Both are great DZ's.
Lodi is open every day, but is farther away from San Jose.

If you're looking to get recurrent, I'd recommend Byron or Tracy

Your fine at Lodi. I love Lodi. Lots of people have sticks up their asses about Lodi and that's fine but Bill is a hoot and his planes haven't crashed and if they decide to fall out of the sky you got a parachute
