wmw999 2,439 #8 December 1, 2015 I'm sorry you have to go through this. It sounds like it's time for her to go through this, and I know she'll be comforted and calm with you there. She'll be in her sleep, surrounded by family. Wendy P.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. wolfriverjoe 1,523 #14 December 4, 2015 My heart goes out to you. It's one ofTHE hardest decision to make as a pet caretaker. But it's also the most important. It comes with the territory however. I don't understand why, but the 2 animals we are closest to (cats & dogs) both only live about 1/7 of our lifetimes. Sometimes they go naturally, but often we need to make the decision that "it's time." Good on you for taking someone along. BillyVance 34 #20 December 6, 2015 My wife still has the ashes of her 19 year old cat "Patch" up on the bookshelf. She grew up with him, and he came to live with us during our first year of marriage before we had to put him down. I figure if my wife dies (she wants cremation as well), we'll just throw the cat in with her.
