It's not a mindless slaughter and some times the bull wins. I think that as the victor he should be put out to stud with a whole heard of heifers to sire a whole new generation of champions. wolfriverjoe 1,523 #3 October 21, 2015 If the bull "winning" was anything more than a "one in a million" event, then I might be tempted to agree. Matadors get gored every once in a while. Some even die in the process. But the bull is always killed. Even this one. I'll bet the bull got killed anyway. But it's not "mindless slaughter". It's slaughter with a huge amount of parade and ceremony. Everyone marches around, showing how good they look all dressed up, then a few guys stab the bull a couple times, then the main guy kills it. I won't argue that it takes a fair amount of bravery to go out there with nothing more than a cape and a sword, but it's not a "fair fight", nowhere near it."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." RiggerLee 61 #4 October 21, 2015 I just have a soft spot for the under dog. I like it when they win or get some for their own. I reserve my right to cheer for the bull. LeeLee lee@velocitysportswear.com www.velocitysportswear.com

Lee Nothing wrong with that. I cheer for the underdog too. I just don't like the idea of killing for sport, or to show how "brave" someone is, regardless of how much it's dressed up in pomp, circumstance, costumes and traditions."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." Phillbo 11 #6 October 22, 2015 I've been to a few Bull Fights in Mexico and it's stacked against the bull. The Matador does not even enter the ring until after the Picadors have stabbed a dozen spears in it's shoulder and drained it of most of it's energy and ability to keep it's head up. DiverMike 5 #7 October 24, 2015 The only bullfight I have ever been to was Pamplona. I gave the bulls the opportunity to kill me during the 826 yard run. Even doing that, it was still a net negative karma experience. Watching animals being slaughtered for fun is not something I ever plan on doing again. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.
