Quite possibly the simplest fuel system out there and I don't thing a single line goes behind the firewall. The only thing that COULD have been hit is the battery, but that's why it's got an engine driven fuel pump and magnetos. It's a silly show, and completely dramatized to make people feel excitement, but I guess if it gets people interested in flying, that's not such a bad thing. They did the Sun N Fun episode a few weeks ago and were looking for a Stearman at an airport "a hundred miles" from Lakeland airport, the only problem is, they were at my old DZ which is less than 5 from LAL. Agree I try to watch it but when they have an "emergency" on almost every flight to add drama it just gets too stupid to continue so off to another channel.
