ChadFlorian 0 #1 October 11, 2004 Been demoing FF helmets. The ones I've tried with internal audible pockets make that side really uncomfortable. I demo'd the hurricane and it fits great and is comfortable. I'm just concerned about my dytter flying off from riser slap... Any thoughts on this? any way to secure the dytter with more than just the clip it comes with? TIA BlueSkies! -Chad
skyhighkiy 0 #2 October 11, 2004 threw a skytronic on mine, no clip available for skytronic. secured it w/ zip ties. (2 running the length of it and 2 perpendicular to those, at either end) |---| | | |---| bad pic but you get the point. anyway, works great. just try throwing some zip ties around the whole system (clip and dytter) BE THE BUDDHA! ChadFlorian 0 #4 October 11, 2004 Honestly, I'd have to go back to sunshine and look again. The on I liked was similar to the hurricane (with the soft adjustable forehead part), but had an internal pocket. It was nice and comfy till I put the audible in. The hurricane fit real nice and I could hear the audible fine. I think if I just put a couple extra zip ties over the top of the dytter. Do you know of a similar design FF helmet with an internal pocket and extra room in the shell for it?
SkydiveNFlorida 0 #5 October 12, 2004 Try a few more with internal mounts. I tried the Gunner, which was very comfy. I ended up with an Aviator and I think there is plenty of room, I have had no problems. Demo until you're sure, because you're probably not gonna buy a new one for some time (they are expensive!). I am glad I have internal mounts, I don't like the look of external, and with internal mounts I don't have to worry that I won't hear the beeps, or that my riser will hit them, etc. jmo Angela.
