Has anyone heard of an incident related to an automatic opener device failing due to date of service expiration?

How many failures of AAD's do you know of? Not shitty cutters or low activations, but actual failures?

The failure rate is pretty low.

Then how many people do you know jumping expired AAD's? Again a very low number.

So two very unlikely events that have to happen to make this scenario possible. I'd say, without any numbers, that it hasn't ever happened.

apply that to those that pack thier own reserve and i think the numbers increase.

Also say the well know and respected cypress is expired at about 12 years yet others go way longer....Therefore in theory I cant see a cypress even being out of date by a year or so being a problem...as long as batteries are all good
