cengland 0 #2 July 20, 2014 Great actor, The answering machine gag at the start of each episode of Rockford Files was hilarious. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SijxE8S6wYQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsWqth0NbDo
ZigZagMarquis 9 #3 July 20, 2014 I remember coming home from school and watching The Rockford Files when it was in syndication and running in the afternoon. I bet the Rockford Files is getting a lot of hits on Hulu right now. RIP

davjohns 1 #6 July 20, 2014 Hated to hear this one. My tradition is to watch a classic example of their work when an actor I like passes. Time to look at many offerings. It's getting harder and harder to explain to someone what a Rockford Slide is and why it is called that.I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

akarunway 1 #10 July 21, 2014 JohnMitchellHe was one of the great ones, from the Old School of Leading Men. Gonna miss him. I remember one episode. He used a pair of channel locks backwards trying to take off a shower head.I laughed my ass off. Mechanic he wasn't.I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all. One of the best motorsports movies ever made even even though it's an oldie. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
masterrig 1 #14 July 24, 2014 I grew-up watching Maverick... before syndication. I enjoyed his 'tongue in cheek' style. 'The Skin Game' was another of his good films. Any role he took on, he did a good job with. He'll sure be missed. Chuck
