npgraphicdesign 3 #1 May 14, 2014 Bueller? Bueller? If there are no DZs there, who's up for starting a DZ with me?
DougH 270 #2 May 14, 2014 Doubt it. Caribbean drop zones are pretty few and far in between. I thought grand Turk would be a good location for one, some nice flat open land by the airport. But you would need to snag cruise ship passengers for Tandems or you would starve!"The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
yoink 321 #3 May 14, 2014 Didn't see one when I was there about 4 years ago. Heavily wooded with regular tropical storms in the afternoons doesn't sound like a great location to me!

Why not? Would give someone a chance to perfect their proximity flying and tree avoidance techniques.
the_raven 0 #5 May 14, 2014 I was in Tobago for 1 week this past January. I didn't see any dropzones on the island, was thinking the same thing about opening one :). There may be something in trinidad though, not sure.
SkymonkeyONE 4 #6 May 18, 2014 I spent three months in Trinidad around 2001 training their military. The only jumping that was done there at all was at the abandoned airport near the base we were on, but it was only military. Trinidad is a pretty big island and the ethnic diversity is different than any other Caribbean island I ever visited. Lots of Indian (dot, not feather) folks mixed with Carib indian and black. EXCELLENT food there. Chuck
airdvr 210 #7 May 19, 2014 I've spent a lot of time in the Caribbean over the last 10 years. Always thought wind was an issue byt hey, they're doing it in Aruba why not elsewhere. Whomever said you need the cruise ship industry is spot on.Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
