quade 4 #3 March 29, 2014 It was about 6 miles north of my home. I hadn't felt the earlier 3.5, but this 5.4 was the most powerful thing I've felt for quite awhile. I'm seeing reports from a few of my friends in all the way out to LAX, but at least one other friend out by Perris didn't even notice it. The epicenter is about half way between the two. A LOT of that has to do with the particular piece of ground you happen to live on, some pieces are more prone to transmit the energy than others and wave propagation isn't exactly omnidirectional either. As I wrote that last sentence, we just had a small rolling aftershock. ETA Just had another Perris friend say it was "exciting."quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

Your post made me think of when I was on the phone with my sister in the early '80s. I was in O.C. and she lived in Riverside. While we were talking and an earthquake hit (must have been about 4.5 ish), and I asked her if she felt it, and she said no. About 30 seconds later, it hit her and she freaked out! She tells the story about how she had advanced seismic warning! lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB
akarunway 1 #7 March 29, 2014 BartsDaddySo who felt it?And any damage? Rialto, Ca. Shook my place pretty good. Worse than the 4.something 3 miles away a few months ago. Finally getting used to them after 12 yrs. here. I said "Glad to hear this." I was totally clueless as to the earthquake, BTW. And then she was upset that I wasn't. It was only a 5. Sheesh!
