turtlespeed 221 #1 March 26, 2014 Holy Crap! 2 injured so far . . . I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
Trafficdiver 8 #2 March 26, 2014 Yeah it's in the old row houses in Back Bay, on Beacon St. They are all connected , but they all have brick walls separating them, but the roofs are all old and wood so it's not hard for them to catch. I've put lots of fireplaces in on Beacon st over the years so I hope they had nothing to do with it. Sucks that people are hurt. Boston has had it's fair share of fires over the centuries. Shit, it's been burnt to the ground more than once.

Those who don't learn from history… True, but a lot of those row houses were built when we were still learning, long before current codes apply. They may have been updated over the years, but without gutting them all and rebuilding the, which does get done often, you can't enact all of the modern fire safety methods. Heck, the whole block used to be a bay, but was back filled with dirt and garbage during the 19th century.
