DrDom 0 #26 February 24, 2014 BillyVance ****** I used to have a 914 too! A 1975 2.0, all black. Bought it off a couple from Washington state and had it shipped here. Probably the most fun car I ever drove. Yeah it was a bit high maintenance, but I had a garage that did good work for reasonable prices. Man that thing could corner at high speeds really well. And the cool thing is: Billy is never distracted by the screaming of his passengers!I've had to wipe clean the passenger seat a couple times. That's the way it goes sometimes. I do that every time I have a passenger. I bet you would have done it even if they hadn't piddled. You are not the contents of your wallet.
NewGuy2005 53 #27 February 24, 2014 I had an almost mint Guards Red 944 Turbo for a while. An incredible car, and in my opinion, one of the most beautiful ever made.
JerryBaumchen 1,365 #28 February 25, 2014 Hi Mike, QuoteOn of the most fun cars I have ever driven. Yup. My first one was a 1956 356A Normal coupe; same red color as yours. My second one was a 1965 356C that I built into a almost-show car. They sure were fun cars. JerryBaumchn
CanuckInUSA 0 #29 February 25, 2014 Tink1717Nope. That's clinging to an obsolete design. It's not optimal distribution and has a problem with trailing throttle oversteer that they've never fixed. That's why BMWs and Ferarris dominate. Perhaps you speak too soon. The new 991 RSRs are no slouches and have topped the time sheets in both the GTLM and GTD classes during testing at Sebring this last week. http://www.imsa.com/articles/porsche-sweeps-gtlm-gtd-testing-sebring http://www.motorsport.com/tusc/news/dempsey-racing-porsches-pass-sebring-litmus-test-with-solid-progress-and-results/ http://www.motorsport.com/tusc/photos/main-gallery/?sz=2&r=7834&s=2&p=2 Of course this is only testing. We won't know how the 991 RSRs will do during the races this summer. But this is hardly what I would call an obsolete design. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

I rebuilt the whole drive line and had the interior re-done. Not quite a show car but a damn nice driver.
