LuckyMcSwervy 0 #4 January 23, 2014 Oh, an aristocrat? When I saw the Fox News Alert this morning all I could picture was Ray Liotta's Henry Hill in the shower scene when he hears the heist news on the radio. I'm sure Henry Hill's in Heaven or Hell laughing his ass off he's not around for the new fallout. Always be kinder than you feel.

ryoder 1,590 #6 January 23, 2014 All this talk of "Goodfellas" makes me need to watch this again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_DwZfyXAXI The "You think I'm funny?" scene was based on a story that Joe Pesci acted out for Martin Scorsese. While working in a restaurant as a young man, Pesci once told a mobster that he was funny and the mobster became very angry. Scorsese allowed Pesci and Ray Liotta to improvise the scene. He did not tell the other actors in the scene what would happen because he wanted their genuine surprised reactions. ryoder 1,590 #8 January 23, 2014 LuckyMcSwervy That is my favorite movie of all time. I just watched "Casino"(1995) last week. Ever see it? Also a true story. Pesci plays nearly the same character, but they aren't nearly as "gentle" with him in the end."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. He died two years ago next month. His name is Dennis Gomes. Wonderfullllllll man and a great, loving, loyal family to boot!! That movie is in my top 5. Always be kinder than you feel. There was a show on the National Geographic Channel that had the real Lefty Rosenthal on it (DeNiro's character). The movie took a lot of liberties with the truth, but still told a pretty accurate story. The way Pesci's character was killed was one of the accurate parts. It was also pretty amazing how much Pesci looked like Tony Spilatro (the real person his character was based on)."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." I was pleasantly surprised how much detail matched."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. MikeJD 0 #16 January 23, 2014 LuckyMcSwervy That is my favorite movie of all time. Goodfellas is definitely one of my favourites - Scorsese's best, I think, and that's saying something. It's got such energy. Brilliant performances, flashy direction, fascinating characters, endlessly quotable dialogue, period kitsch, humour, violence... I could watch it any number of times. I didn't like Casino nearly as much.
