They would run out of hill ( appears they are already getting close) and it would be very painful to land on the flats.

Otherwise, the clothing that ski jumpers wear is a subtle form of tracking suit that flattens out and adds a bit of surface area when in flight, but they must conform to strict regulations on size and construction. The skis also add a heck of a lot of surface area.

So basically yeah, they're shit hot trackers with planks on their feet.
