Here are our Rescue and one-half... Buddy is our best friend ever from the local shelter. We picked him up about a year after our Shepard mix had to be put down. We did not want to "replace" O'Neil, but are so glad we met Buddy.

Buddy is "The Jester" of the house

Our "half" rescue was not from a shelter, he was part of a litter from my brother-in-law. Go down to visit, came home with a cat. So, Tony2 is named after the brother...

Tony 2 is "The King" of the house (well, he thinks so)

After about a year and a half, they are almost friends now. Or, at least Tony2 is tolerant of Buddy:P

edited: to try and work out the inline code - I suck at this stuff[:/] Then I check that In-Line photos don't work in Bonfire... Yep, probably a good idea.

I have two cats, two stingrays, and a SilverRed Giant Arrowana.

The black cat, Risky (Short for *), is a fighter jet and bad ass. She takes care of my other, short bus cat, SpaceCatONE. Both are rescue cats. Space is developmentally disabled from being sickly as a kitten, limited blood flow to brain from sinus infections galore. (no shit) and can't really take care of herself completely. She poops in her box, and eats her food but that is about it. Risky cleans her whole body and butt every day. Space is pretty overweight, and sleeps standing up sometimes. She can't jump. It's pretty hilarious to have a cat that can't cat.

I also have a 150 gallon fish tank with two 7" stingrays and a giant arrowana. Building a 650gallon "L" tank.

They are so adorable! It's scary that they're dying off from the heat. I certainly don't envy the residents there this fall, when the weather breaks and the bugs are terrible. Not enough bats to keep the insect population under control! [:/] The rescue is awesome. :)

Nice to see more rescues / adoptions brought in from different places and getting along well. For some animals, having a buddy really helps their emotional well-being. Sounds like Space found a good one.

Steve the Stingray ... love it! Never seen a home tank with rays. Very cool. As much fun as it is to feed them by hand at Sea World, I'm guessing you have a different approach at home?

Space is the cutest thing ever. Not social AT ALL with strangers, but super friendly with my GF and I. The only thing she is REALLY good at is hiding. She got accidentally locked out for a week once while we were on vacation. The people taking care of her had no idea because she always just hides anyway. We got home about 4 days after she got locked out and when she did not come greet us as we walked in the door we knew she was gone. I found her three days later dehydrated and hiding under a deck four houses away. She had lost an entire pound. This is also late summer in Colorado, plenty of food and water around in the suburbs. We have a video of her drinking non stop for 90 seconds when she got home.

Steve is an appropriate for a stingray. Freshies are pretty awesome. Easy to take care of with a big tank, VERY active, cruising around the tank and doing flips. They are supposed to grow to over two feet in diameter over a few years, but these guys have not grown more than a half inch in three months. This tank will probably be big enough for them for at least another year. They eat anything that they can fit in their mouth.
