After googling "linoleum", I'm not sure I've ever actually seen it.
Everything I've called "linoleum" was most likely vinyl.

I would suggest washing the cherry more.

OMG I can't win. Here's a pic of said floor. Notice the Sophia Lucia fur tumbleweed and tan colored carpet fiber along the toe kicks. No matter how much I vacuum/wet Swiffer/dry Swiffer/polish there's always fur/lint on the fkn floor. This color shows everything.
