donovan 0 #1 November 5, 2004 I've looked up the main size on sunpath but just want field experience comment on whether a stiletto 135 will fit in a nj jav? NJ's are made for up to a 120.

donovan 0 #3 November 5, 2004 I know what sunpath said, but I know several guys that put slighlty larger canopies in smaller recommended containers. Just wondering if a nj will take the stiletto?
bodypilot1 0 #4 November 5, 2004 If the canopy is really worn out it might? Otherwise it will be a bitch to pack.... Edwww.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
riggerrob 643 #5 November 5, 2004 You can usually get away with installing a canopy 10% larger or 10% smaller than the container manufacturer recommends. Beyond that you risk trouble. Either you will get a hernia struggling to close a container that is too tight, and will worry about "container lock" type malfunctions, or your pin will be so loose that you worry about pre-mature deployments. It would be a little tight. councilman24 37 #7 November 5, 2004 Not to mention you might have the 10% larger than normal main and 10% smaller container. So it might not go at ALL. Each individual combination of specific main and rig need to be tested when at the limits of the manufacturers recommendations.I'm old for my age.
