What they DIDN'T do was the 'all included' thing for their kids soft drinks.....1200.00 at the end of the two week cruise for SODA! Like I said, we've done quite a few & look at the boat as a nice way to get to cool places...some people look at the boat AS the vacation...YMMV. Just remember Lucky Mc - the whole idea is just like Vegas, they are there to separate you from as much money as they possibly can! I think I paid $1400 for Me ,my Wife, my Son and his Wife for a 7 night cruise. All 4 of us are drinkers especially when on vacation. hell we each had 5 of the welcome aboard drinks before we left port . I wish they would have given me a breakdown of all of our drinks so i could determine how much we WOULD have spent but we definitely would have been well over 2k gotta love Mimosa's with breakfast (drink passes also included premium liquors not just well brands) Stella with lunch and Crown with dinner You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early! I know people who had their final bar bill cost more than they paid for 2 people for the cruise. That's scares me. Haha!! I didn't know they had the hand sanitizer stations. But that skeeves me out thinking the handles of them are gross as hell... LOL. My imagination gets the best of me with that kind of stuff. But still good to know they're available!! linebckr83 3 #29 October 30, 2013 If you're interested in taking your own alcohol on board, google Rum Runners. They are catheter-like bags with a plastic cap and cheap. Pour in alcohol, squeeze out air and put on cap. They can be rolled and folded and twisted into whatever shape you want. I rolled mine and put them in my toiletry bag...they look identical to toothpaste or shampoo bottles going thru the x-ray. Work great for other things like concerts too!"Are you coming to the party? If soda and juices aren't included I very well may end up opting in for the 'everything' included option. I go through liquids during the day like a camel in the desert! I've always shied away from cruising before because I like to plant myself in one place for a week or so and explore. Time to spread my wings a little and give it a shot. I'm still seeing the ship as jail with the same inmates for a week with the ports as day passes for good behavior. Or something like that... Quote Just remember Lucky Mc - the whole idea is just like Vegas, they are there to separate you from as much money as they possibly can! It sure is looking that way!! I can't even find the Spa Menu online to check prices for massages and such. I then figured it was a "if you have to ask you can't afford it" kind of spa. I'm sure I'll need a massage that week so I'm probably going to have to suck it up and just pay their prices. Oh well. And there's a casino on board. I can't imagine it's any good but I know I'm going to have to give it a whirl!Always be kinder than you feel.

LuckyMcSwervy 0 #32 October 30, 2013 grimmie As far as being on the boat, never again. Too many people, the food was horrendous, the pools were packed and the constant blaring on the big screen from "Todd the cruise director" was annoying as hell. And I got food poisoning the last day. I think it was the sushi Probably my biggest cruise fear. Uh oh!! Always be kinder than you feel.

First the good news: I was able to get a balcony upgrade, which was nice. Found out I get VIP check in and VIP boarding. Also found out I get free drinks while in the casino with my club card, which I would've expected anyway. Found out there's a Soda Card for $6.25 per day, which I'm definitely going to sign up for. There is an Ultimate Beverage card for $50 a day but I honestly doubt it would be worth it for me since I can get drinks in the casino. Now the bad news: I lost my dive buddy due to his work schedule. Soooo.... it's gonna just be me. Alone. On a cruise ship. For 7 days. UGHHHHHHHHHHH. Always be kinder than you feel. oldwomanc6 60 #39 October 31, 2013 Does that mean you have to share a room with a random stranger, now? Wait, that didn't come out right. What I meant was; now that he is no longer going, is he still paying for his half of the room? Because of the "double occupancy" thing? I thought that room rate was based on that, or is your situation different because of the original free room? lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB

I thought that room rate was based on that, or is your situation different because of the original free room? No, I'm alone. The free cruise was for 2 people. Just port charges, taxes and gratuities. I paid $300 for a balcony upgrade room. If my friend was still going the upgrade would've been $300 x 2, plus the same port charges, taxes and gratuities as I paid. I just paid the service charge/tips in advance $84. It's $12 per person/per day for the tips they charge your account. I guess it does stink if there's only 1 person in a room, only $84 officially, but that's apparently split among a bunch of people. I'll make sure to take care of them individually as the service warrants.Always be kinder than you feel.

cocheese 0 #43 October 31, 2013 Darling McSwervy, sorry about your dive buddy. But here is some advice that nobody gave you. Absorb the blueness of the sea from all around the ship. Spend as much time outside as you can. Do the bridge tour. Hit as many midnight buffets as you can. Leave all your valubles at home. If i had a passport,... we would get in trouble. Cheesey, thanks. And I'll definitely take your great outdoors advice. The bridge tour sounds awesome! I love scuba diving through bridges and that would be my first above water tour of one on a cruise ship! I'm really looking forward to trying to sleep on the balcony at least one night but it looks really small and it doesn't appear to have chaise lounges, only chairs. We'll see!! I laugh at the midnight buffet hitting because by midnight I'll probably already have been in bed sleeping for a few hours!! Always be kinder than you feel.
