ChrisD 0 #22 July 14, 2013 Maybe... Off the top of my head: Something like 3:1 A lic compared with D lic? I think over 3000 A lic were issued in 2012. Only 500 D lic, and we all know why they raised the qualification numbers to obtain the D lic??? The question points to some alarming numbers, but because there is no way to determine the number of jumps compared with the breakdown by category of current lic holders, yo have raised yet another issue that is of concern to me. We know that current membership is about 35,000? Can someone tell me if there is a yearly, (current) breakdown list by lic classification??? Bottom line is there may be some truth to the fact that A and B lic holders are safer jumpers because of the recency of their training! USPA totals up numbers of lic by category but I'm not sure if anyone keeps track of active jumpers by category?? Kind of backwards by drivers, their are many, many fatalities in the under 25 crowd on our Nations highways. And they have the most current training??? Lots to look at, and more importantly how you look at something.... You caught a really fine point that I was hope'n no one would notice... (nice catch, the old one has some moves after all! So I'll toss it back atcha? Are there actually more D lic holders jump'n than others???? And what does this say about the relationship between training and incidents? C I already know I'm fucking nuts,... It's just that we have been looking at stuff the same way too long....and continuing to expect a different outcome.... (I stole that one.)
