This chick I had been assigned to work with was puffing like a chimney, indoors, at a place you normally wouldn't be caught dead smoking a cigarette for at least a couple of reasons. The whole thing struck me as some dodge to get around well established rules, but nobody tossed her ass. Somebody did eventually stop her from using it indoors. I think the potential for both good and bad here is enormous with a huge edge given to bad. There might be a few other things to consider from a second-hand smoke stand point. The biggest is if somebody is smoking a regular cigarette or even recreational one, you generally have an idea of what chemicals you are potentially being exposed to and can generally avoid if needed. The smells are distinct and easily recognizable. Depending on the country you live in, YMMV.
