JohnMitchell 16 #1 August 5, 2013 Hi Everyone, It's that time of year again, when Vskydiver and I put on the Leap for Lupus skydiving event and charity raffle. As many of you know, my wife Valinda, AKA Vskydiver, suffers from lupus, an auto immune disease that affects mostly women, usually in their teens and twenties. She almost lost her life to it a few years back and still suffers some of the ill effects to this day. We have many friends that are even worse off from the disease. The Leap for Lupus raffle is her way of fighting back, raising money for medical research into the causes of and cures for lupus. Being a self funded and all volunteer foundation, we're proud to say that every dollar raised by our raffle goes directly to the University of Washington Division of Rheumatology for research. We're very excited to say that this year they have a new drug in initial clinical trials. We hope it's very successful. Please take a minute to look over our list. PM me if you'd like to buy tickets or follow the link below the list to our Facebook page. As always, a HUGE thanks to all of our sponsors in this raffle. I'm am so humbly grateful for their support. They are the best. For those of you who make it to the event in person, as always there are even more prizes on the Local List, from custom jumpsuits to barbecues, reserve repacks to restaurant coupons. I'd love it if each and everyone of you could be there with us. JohnMitchell 16 #5 August 7, 2013 Man, I'm so sorry. How is she doing? PM me if you want. And please go to our webpage. LeapforLupus.org Vskydiver's lupus is actually doing well right now. But the drugs she had to take in the past have caused some real issues, I'm afraid. Be glad to give you the benefit of our experience if you like. TriGirl 318 #15 August 8, 2013 Is it that time again already??? Good luck on the boogie. Yeah, I'm STILL stuck in Europe this summer (although just went to Rome and Dublin on two separate mini-vacations). I'll PM you again for a good mailing address, since you know how I love this raffle. Okay, sure, I've yet actually to WIN anything, but the $$ all goes for a great cause. And John: last time, the tickets you sold me were defective. These better work. Remster
