NWFlyer 2 #31 August 12, 2013 JohnMitchell Super cool news is that Les Stachyra of Aerodyne is going to be at our event with all kinds of cool canopies to try out. I think I might have to check out the Pilot. I heard they're good for wingsuits, right? Heck of a lot better than what you're jumping now! Y'all should continue to buy tickets because it's a great cause to support, but I feel it only fair to let everyone know that I already bought the big winner at LP this year."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke

TriGirl 318 #34 August 13, 2013 The check is in the mail!! (no, really, it is.) I'm hoping the third time is a charm. Two years of buying tickets with nothing to show for it (except of course some suitable donations to worthy research). TriGirl 318 #36 August 13, 2013 JohnMitchell *** I'm hoping the third time is a charm. I hope so too. What would be your favorite prize? (I've helped a couple of swaps from time to time.) Well, now that my nephew has started jumping, and my niece is also interested, any of the gear and jumpsuit prizes would be most welcome! For me, well, let's just say that my current job has me in the market for new jumpsuits for myself. And, I've always wanted a digital alti!See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!

JohnMitchell 16 #43 August 14, 2013 Bignugget I have 2 friends with Lupus both of them cool ass chicks in their 20s. I didn't know it targeted chicks more than guys. Yep, Lupus patients are 90% female, with the disease usually starting in their teens or twenties. I'm pretty sure it starts in the teens, but it is usually a slow onset with vague symptoms and often takes YEARS (and a good doctor) to diagnose. I hope your friends are doing okay. promise5 17 #46 August 15, 2013 Tickets bought!! Now as far as prizes I'll keep it simple. I want to win the rig, jumpsuit(have the colors picked out already), helmet and logbook. Can I enter my tandem in the log book ?? It's a jump so it should count. No matter how slowly you say oranges it never sounds like gullible. Believe me I tried.
JohnMitchell 16 #47 August 15, 2013 You sure can. Each tandem even counts towards your A license. Tell your TM you're planning to learn to skydive. I show my passengers how to check canopy, how to fly the canopy and the basics of canopy control on their tandems. Just in from Betty Bowne at Parachute Labs, Inc. She has sent 3 gift certificates – one for the FireBolt, one for an AngelFire and one for a Racer container. How cool is that? When they arrive I'll post the details. Damn, I wish I could buy some tickets.
