Micron sizes

Recommended Posts

Hi...
i'm currently jumping a S2 170, and its time to downsize.
assuming that my long term canopy (in about 200 more jumps or more) will be a 135, i have several
things to consider if i'm buying new.

first of all, i will look into selling only my main, getting a used 150 and wait with the new container until i feel up for a 135. but assuming i'll go for new...

would a micron 310 (suited for ST 150) look really bad with a 135 (assuming i'll keep the 143 reserve)?
since i'll end up on a 135 for a long time, i'm not sure having it in a container made for a 150 is a good idea (although according to RWS site, its only 1.5" length difference).
would it be better to go for a 308 (suited for a 135) and squeeze a 150 into it for awhile?
RWS say its "acceptable" to put in one size smaller, but do not recommend one size bigger (which makes sense)
but i still want to hear more from people who have seen such combinations...

thanks...

Hey whats up. I own a Micron 308. I can tell you that a 150 will not fit in it.. I had a 129 when I fist go the canopy and it was tight, I mean tight...

Also going to the 308 means downsizing reserves.. Are you confortable with that.. That honestly is the question that you have to answer. RWS will cater to your needs as long as you know what they are. Figure it out and they will make the rig that youwant no matter what the sizing chart describes on their website, they can manipulate a rig here and there to fit what you need/want....

great, more options ;)

i believe my final goal would be a 135/143 and not 135/126 so i guess i'll stick with the 310 (and hope it wont look too funny with a 135 in it).

thanks.
now i'm only left with the minor financial issue B|
