skymama 37 #7 May 12, 2013 I remember Archie, but my parents never allowed me to watch that show and I never really watched much of it in reruns. I don't even know the answer! david3 0 #8 May 12, 2013 ZigZagMarquisHow do you put on your socks and shoes? Wow I remember that episode like it was yesterday and sadly think about it more than often than I'd like to admit. I am a sock, sock, shoe, shoe kind of guy.

My parents never let me watch it, either; or Mash, and a few others they determined were too "worldly." Maybe, that's the reason I'm am not consistent with the shoe-sock thing. One day it's sock-sock, the next it's sock-shoe. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB

grimmie 186 #11 May 13, 2013 One of the best shows in TV history. The episode where Sammy Davis Jr. leaves his briefcase in Archie's cab is the best. Flip flop, flip flop for me.

It's too easy to forget that we were only a few years past the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and much of the country held views similar to Archie's. You put on two socks and have to walk around getting wet feet because of all the water being sprayed around. I have on one sock and one shoe and can hop around on one foot and stay dry. airtwardo 7 #16 May 13, 2013 ~ Years ago the wife & I were having lunch in Malibu, really nice restaurant on the beach. On the floor under the table I see a credit card, it's a platinum American Express with the name Carroll O'Connor on it! I walked over to the manager and handed it to him saying I believe Archie Bunker dropped this. When we finished lunch, the manager came over saying - Mr. O'Connor wishes to express his gratitude ~ he picked up your check. ...we always use to joke - If only I'd found it at a Porsche dealership! ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~
