Got a 'tour' of a relatives remodeled kitchen yesterday...I was polite the first 99 times I was asked how great it is ~ then finally gave an honest opinion.

They spent over 60,000 on a kitchen....in a run down 75 year old house that's worth 20,000 tops.

It's nice...not 60 grand nice though!

Told 'em the only dumber thing I'd seen this year is spinners on a Yugo.



Guess I won't be asked back for dinner anytime soon.

The spinners on the Yugo COULD have been ironic!

I saw some guys drop a Chevy Smallblock V8 into a Yugo or a Ford Festiva (I forget which) years ago. They beefed up the suspension, took pains not to make the beefed-up tires appear too obvious and drove it around spanking Corvettes for fun.

Damn man, even I wouldn't spend $20K on a new kitchen if my house was worth that much.

But yes, that's how much my kitchen cost me, give or take, when I had it done 6 years ago, and the house is roughly $180K
