kamih 0 #2 November 24, 2004 Quotecan anyone help? Your instructors surely can And if there's a gear store at the DZ you jump, check out what used gear they have. Some people recommend getting a new container that fits you nice, but buying a used canopy, as you'll probably be getting rid of it fairly quick. Just make sure you respect manufacturer recommended wing loadings, and see what your instructors say. Only they know how you fly. blue skies

It used to be a sticky and it had some good info! Good luck with your search! Do a lot of research, then do more, then demo and demo more, then buy. -A
 PhreeZone 20 #5 November 25, 2004 REad all the stuff on this page: http://www.dropzone.com/safety/Gear_and_Equipment/index.shtmlYesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
 lowie 0 #6 November 25, 2004 You havent entered any info on your profile so it would be hard for anyone to help. If you join up one of the uk clubs and hire their kit for a few jumps you should be able to get some info of one of the local instructors. Also if you go along on a week day they will be far more likely to help. It's an overview/introduction to the gear out there and the things you should be thinking about. You'll notice there's not actually any specific advice though - just a lot of "ask us" or "talk to your instructors". That's cos that's the best thing you can do... this just gives you an idea about what you might want to ask them about.
