Falcon7Zero 0 #2 April 22, 2013 Dad was prior military.. Not necessarily "creative" but the forward leaning rest (push up position), 8 count body builders, 4 count flutter kicks and other endless hours of "PT" usually got the point across and served me well when I joined up :^)"I once met three guys named pain, suffering and sacrafice. quade 4 #11 April 22, 2013 Some "creative" punishments can seem innocent enough like having to mow the lawn or puling weeds. Certainly wouldn't raise an eyebrow to most neighbors. Of course, depending on the kid's allergies . . . Some parents need to be beaten for their "creativity."quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

promise5 17 #14 April 22, 2013 I'm sorry it was meant as a lite post nothing more. Believe me I don't condone any form of child abuse. But, mowing the grass, cleaning a barn, picking rocks didn't kill me. Even the times I was spanked didn't kill me. I got away with more then I should have and had a great childhoodNo matter how slowly you say oranges it never sounds like gullible. Believe me I tried. popsjumper 2 #17 April 22, 2013 I tried the run-for-your-life tactic...it didn't work for me either. I never knew an offensive lineman could move that fast. When I thought I outgrew the belt, he asked me if wanted to go bare-knuckles. "Ummmm...no sir." My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. oldwomanc6 52 #19 April 22, 2013 mrowc6 and i believed in making the punishment fit the "crime." When our daughter was young, she had a self-control problem coupled with a low frustration point that resulted in destructive behavior. When she was in middle school, she kicked a hole in a luan door. We made her do extra chores (which she was paid for), made her buy a new door, hardware, stain and finish. She then learned how to stain and finish wood, chisel recesses for the hinges, and she hung the door and put the old knob back on! She never again destroyed anything in a fit of anger. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB

normiss 798 #23 April 23, 2013 This. My dad finally stopped kicking my ass when I swung back and made him stagger back a few steps. He was a big strong man. Short tempered. I was curious and ornery about everything. For some reason we seemed to cross paths once in awhile. I have three daughters. All I EVER had to say was "GIRLS!!!!"
