Just hit quote on that post and you'll see the code in the new window. Thanks Lisa! [#eeeeff]My pleasure! If you do it this way, you can visually block out your sig line on any given post. That would be useful in many ways, such as the Incident forum. [#]lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB

First I googled it, and I tried all the code things I found, and none of them worked. I'm not too savvy, computer-wise. Then I searched here and found some posts that mentioned it, but they were in the Recycle Bin, did some other search terms and found some posts that still had it "embedded" in them, and quoted them to see what was written. Finding out that it would make a sig line invisible was by accident, though. I forgot to put the slash in the end bracket thing. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB

Let's start a support group - Fruitcake Lovers Anonymous, because I'm right there with you if it's a really good fruitcake. I think I got it from my dad - he loves the stuff too. My favorite is one is from Harry & David - I usually get my dad one of those for Christmas every year. "There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And every once in a while you see a post where somebody forgets to "close" the bold, italics, or url and it goes on all the way through the sigline to the end of the post. I wonder how long it's going to take the usual suspects to get in trouble with it. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." NWFlyer 2 #83 March 28, 2013 Quote I just sat on the couch last night with Vskydiver and our youngest daughter and watched "Forks Over Knives", a discussion of diet vs. health. Although there are some holes in the science, it does have me re-thinking my diet some. As a Texan, I was raised on meat, meat and more meat. I guess there's room for more veggies. Most disgusting food? Twinkies. I haven't watched that movie, but I've heard enough about it to know that I'd probably be frustrated with it as vegan propaganda. THAT SAID... I am a firm believer in the science that supports our need for the nutrients that we can get from animal protein, but I am also in full support of a lot of the points made by vegetarians & vegans about how horrible the majority of the meat produced in this country is for health and the environment. So, instead of going veggie/vegan, I've gone in the other direction; virtually all the meat I prepare at home (which represents 80%+ of my meals) is from traditional, sustainable sources; grass-fed beef & lamb, pasture-raised pork, well-raised chickens, wild fish (though sourcing fish is really getting to be a challenge). I buy in bulk directly from the rancher for most of the meat that I have (that 7 cf chest freezer helps). Keeps the cost/lb way down while still ensuring high quality. So, I think there's ways to address the issues raised in Forks Over Knives without necessarily abandoning meat. But it does mean you pretty much stop buying meat at a typical grocery store.I'd also maintain that I eat as many or more vegetables as a lot of vegetarians & vegans I know. Not to paint all with the same brush, but I know some who survive largely on processed foods and don't actually eat a lot of fresh veggies."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke
JohnMitchell 16 #84 March 28, 2013 Thanks for the input. As you well know, I'm a "meat and potatoes, skip the potatoes" kind of guy, so I DO need to readjust the balance a little. However, I do have some very nice NY strip steaks for dinner tonight. Come by around 5-ish.

Last May, Clif Bar temporarily produced a flavor called "Gary's Panforte", i.e. Italian fruitcake. It was the tastiest Clif Bar ever! (Ask Remi: He will confirm.) Supposedly it is "seasonal", so hopefully they will produce it again this year."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones.
