mazevedo 0 #1 December 2, 2004 Just one question: There is a mark on the brake lines I used to make the knot and mount the toggle. Is that correct. Do I have to cut the amount of line that is after the knot? I used the mark as the center of the knot. Sorry for my bad english...
spoons 0 #2 December 2, 2004 That mark will most likely be the factory setting for the brakes for your pilot - not necessarily how long you'd like them so don't cut anything! I recently got my canopy relined and jumped it with factory settings, once I decided they were a little too short i added a couple of inches and then finger trapped the excess. Technically the mark should be just at the top of the knot, but having it somewhere in the knot itself will make very little difference in length. If in doubt you should get a more experienced jumper or rigger to give you a hand...that's what i did
 docjohn 0 #3 December 2, 2004 I made the knot at the mark and couldn't stall the canopy. Had to move the knot up about 6 inches. NO, DON'T CUT THE EXCESS!! Finger trap it. Talk to a rigger or better yet, have him/her set up your new canopy. And, yeah, the Pilot is awesome! Love mine! Form the loop, place the knot up to the mark and then fingertrap the excess. This is the factory recommended length although you may feel this is too short or too long for how you wish to fly your canopy so adjust it as necessary. Hope this helps. Enjoy.Jody
 mazevedo 0 #5 December 2, 2004 Thanks!!! I will do that!
