Guest #1 January 28, 2013 Pacific Skydivers has been at Pitt Meadows since 1986. Now the landowners are hiking the annual land use fee by 2500%. Story mh ."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."
quade 4 #2 January 28, 2013 One of the realities for any business that doesn't own the property they operate on. Sad. I'm not saying it's right; just saying it's the way it is. It's especially true for any business that operates on a tight margin to begin with.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
IanHarrop 41 #3 January 28, 2013 at the end of the article it sounds like there is still a chance for Pitt to stay open"Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
tunde 0 #4 January 28, 2013 So they're trying to charge them rent for the grass that the parachutists land upon? That's friggin ridiculous...
Andy9o8 2 #5 January 28, 2013 The posted readers' comments seem pretty insightful. The no-comments from the local govt officials doing this are pretty telling, too. Look, sometimes you just can't talk sense into people who want to be big fish in their small pond. It'll be the town's loss, and some other town's gain, and the voters of Pitt Meadows to remember come next election cycle.
