Arvoitus 1 #1 January 18, 2013 A new shop opened up with an opening day offer of 0.999 eur/l gasoline (about 5 usd/gal) when the normal price is around 1.63 eur/l (~ 8.2 usd/gal). Obviously there was a per buyer limit of 100 l so the max benefit was around 63 euros (~84 usd). However, since people loose all capability for rational thinking when cheap gasoline is mentioned there was a queue. A very long queue. At its best/worst you had to wait somewhere between 3 to 5 hrs in a 3+ mile long queue to get your chance to save 80 bucks, whilst happily ignoring the fact that you'd probably loose half the gains while waiting for your turn. I bet the truckers stuck in that traffic were super happy over that whole thing.Your rights end where my feelings begin.
airtwardo 7 #2 January 18, 2013 Usually to me...time IS money, I probably wouldn't waste hours to save 50 bucks like that. ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~
JohnRish 0 #3 January 20, 2013 Depends upon how much money you've got as to whether or not it would be worth it to wait in that line to save a few bucks. Rich people won't, poor people will.
