mjrod 0 #1 December 13, 2004 I thought I saw a web site that had aplace where you could enter the canopy and particulars, and it would give you a price. I am looking to price out a few used canopys, such as a SAbre II 230 with 500 jumps, a Pilot 210 with 300 jumps. i cannot find that web site. Thanks<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>
AggieDave 6 #2 December 13, 2004 Its hard to have a firm number on something like that. There are a lot of variables. Has it been wet, was it jumped in the desert, did it get packed outside in the sun on the grass or inside away from the sun on carpet? And, as always, with used gear have your rigger inspect it before putting the money down.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." mjrod 0 #3 December 13, 2004 I found it at baddog. Thanks for you reply. How are the dropzones in CA for wear and tear on a canopy? I know at Spaceland, the conditions are good for packing. Thanks for your reply. Miguel<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>

Well, I'm going to bow out and let someone who jumps in CA tell you directly (since I've never been there). You might wanna PM Skybytch and ask her, her busines is gear, she can giv eyou some good answers I bet. Trent is local and is a knowledgable source of info, please do talk to him as well.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." GravityGirl 0 #5 December 13, 2004 I guess I know what canopy you are asking about. I'll just tell you this straight out. I price canopies fair for both the buyer and seller. This is how I double my customer base from year to year. This is my business, and I pride myself on good customer service and fair and honest dealing. The canopy in question has been jumped mostly at Bay Area Skydiving in California. We have indoor carpeted packing. The conditions are dry in the summer, but we have no "sandy" dirt. Most canopies around here maintain their value quite well. Perhaps not quite as well as Oregon or Washington where a canopy will never see dirt and rarely see sun. If you have more specific questions, feel free to PM me. If you would like a private third party to inspect the canopy, we can arrange that too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies!
